‘Out of Your Box’ is a show all about exploring the boxes we trap ourselves in, from the rules of

society to the way we think and feel about our every day lives and the people around us.

CONCEPT

Everyday life seems to be sorted into boxes; the way we think and the boxes we tick in society

- male or female, student or employed, punk or goth, gay or straight.

‘Out of Your Box’ is a humorous and titilating exploration of getting out of your box and creating the life you want to live. It explores such topics as gender, age, sex, drugs, race and alternative lifestyles. Using interviews, skits and animations Out of Your Box delves into issues that affect Australians.

‘Out of Your Box’ provides audiences with a punchy, fast, visual burst of knowledge and exploration of contemporary issues, that may at times make audiences feel uncomfortable because they are forced to think differently or consider issues they never realized affected them. However after each episode audiences will get off the couch feeling affected, informed and entertained.

A major concept integrated in the structure of ‘Out of Your Box’ is that couch interviews are boring!

The ‘Out of Your Box’ team will conduct interviews in unusual situations, by placing subjects in

witty, quirky circumstances that liven the interview, making it playful and visually engaging for audiences.

Television is a visual medium, the good old sit down interview style is dated and un-stimulating!

Our provocative interview style pushes the audience out of their box. Because they are visually relishing an unconventional interview style which is combined with humor to ensure the audience is entertained as well as educated.
